A project started in Antjes hometown goes international

Antje decided to continue a series of barter trades started in her hometown Heiligendorf in northern Germany in 2000. In cooperation with Thomas Sprenger, the project goes international. An archive of films made by European farmers will be collected and used for sreenings in varying contexts, from local screenings to art institutions. While Antje does the paintings, Thomas will be editing the films on site with the farmers, when possible.
The project will include farmers in Wales, England, the Netherlands, Austria, Macedonia, Romania, Switzerland and Germany.
From 2007 - 09 the project is funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
