Everybody knew that there is small lace making factory in the next village Rattelsdorf, but no one had really been there. The 'Höfer Waren 2014' season started with a factory visit and an introduction by Conny and Ernst Hofer who are running the business. Their families both come from important European centres of lace, and for a number of post-war reasons they settled here.
We are planning to develop a new design and to make lace later this year. The workshops and research is linking up to the current exhibition at the Peasant Museum in Frensdorf which is all about 'luxury goods in the countryside' and an Eco Nomadic School seminar in autumn 2014.
