Wapke and Kathrin spent a week in the Lake District in late March 2007, to see and hear more from the team running Grizedale Arts, and to understand its cultural context and curatorial ambition.
myvillages.org used their myvillages.org Grizedale Blog to describe and refinesome of their first impressions following their residency, and to continue their conversations with Grizedale Arts.
Following six line proposal was the result of the residency:

Open a village shop.
To connect our rural links.
And trade rural produce across places.
To start a network and exchange of rural places internationally.
As a joint initiative by myvillages, public works and Grizedale Arts
To use the agrifashionista TV project in 2008 to set it up and test it.

The residency resulted in a proposal for a joint initiative between myvillages.org, public works and Grizedale Arts, suggesting to initiate extended trade between rural networks.
Working titles for the proposal so far include: Honesty Box, Village Shop, Village Kiosk...
